TOWN OF BROOKFIELD — The second location of automated beverage shop Octane Coffee will open Friday in the parking between Best Buy and Aldi on Bluemound Road.
The first drive-thru-only location has been operating in the parking lot behind K1 Speed, W229-N1400 Westwood Drive in the City of Pewaukee, for about two years. It is temporarily closed due to road construction.
Compared to the City of Pewaukee location, the Town of Brookfield location, at 19555 W. Bluemound Road, has two drive-thru lanes. Like the original location, the new coffee hut will also be fully automated with no employees on site. Beverages are made by industrial automated robots.
The coffee hut only accepts orders through an app. Customers download a mobile ordering app, select their drink, make customizations, go through the payment process and pull through the drive-thru to pick up their order.
In addition to its hot and iced coffee and espresso drinks, Octane is also rolling out the Signature Line, which includes three plant-based energy drinks: The Redline (strawberry dragonfruit), The Sunrise Club (Peach Lemonade) and The Limewire (a citrus blend of lime, lemon and mandarin orange).
